Former US President Trump made harsh criticisms of American foreign policy in a video released on the anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war. Arguing that “warmongers and globalists” in the US Defence Ministry Pentagon and the State Department are seeking conflict, Trump commented that “World War III has never been so close”.
Former US President Donald Trump claimed that there is a “pro-war” order in Washington and said, “World War III has never been closer.”
Within the scope of the anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war, Trump published a video titled “President Trump will fire the warmongers and globalists who pursue endless wars” on his official website.
“World War III has never been so close,” Trump said, arguing that all “warmongers and globalists” in the deep state, the Ministry of Defence (Pentagon) and the State Department should be purged from these institutions.

Trump said he was “the only president in generations who has not started a war” and noted that he prevented conflicts by rejecting the advice of bureaucrats in Washington.
Stating that the US administration at the time supported the uprisings in Ukraine in 2014, Trump said, “We have people like Victoria Nuland, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, who are obsessed with bringing Ukraine closer to NATO.”
Stating that these people have been seeking conflict for a long time, as in Iraq, Trump said that none of this would excuse the invasion of Ukraine a year ago.
“If I had been your president, this would never have happened,” Trump said, emphasising the need to get rid of the “corrupt global order” that dominates American foreign policy.

Candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Trump emphasised that this order will change during his term.
“With the right leadership, we can end the Ukraine war in 24 hours,” Trump said, adding that he would appoint officials who put US interests above all else.
