How much money did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle receive from Netflix?

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are filming a ‘at-home with the Sussexes docuseries’ for Netflix as part of their $100 million streaming pact.

The royals are claimed to have begun filming with the production company at their $14 million Montecito estate, however it is unknown if the show will feature Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months.

The decision may raise concerns inside the royal family about what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 37 and 40, could say following their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.

Camera crews are alleged to have followed them on their journey to New York last September, as well as when they flew to the Netherlands last month for the Invictus Games and were granted entry to their house.

It is unknown whether they will accompany the family to the United Kingdom for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations in June.

“The time is still being debated, things are up in the air,” a “producer in the know” told Page Six, adding that “I believe it’s fair to say that Netflix is getting its pound of flesh.”

Mirror Online has sought feedback from Netflix and Archewell Productions.

The duo inked a multi-year agreement with Netflix in September 2020, but have yet to create any material.

The rumored docuseries follows the cancellation of Meghan’s cartoon series Pearl by Netflix.

Meghan and Harry’s production company was working on a program about a girl who is inspired by notable women throughout history.

However, all references to it on Archewell Productions’ website have been erased since it was pulled by the streaming provider.

Previously, the site featured a series summary as well as a lengthy remark from Meghan.

The Duchess, along with Elton John’s husband David Furnish, was named as an executive producer on the show.

The cancellation of the event is the latest setback for the pair, who were previously excluded from the royal balcony at Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities.

Buckingham Palace stated that the monarch’s decision to include only royals doing formal public obligations was made “after due thought.”

Despite the seeming snub, Harry and Meghan have stated that they would visit the UK this summer to join the Jubilee festivities, bringing their children Archie and Lilibet – who has yet to meet her great grandmother the Queen.

“Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are pleased and privileged to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children,” a spokeswoman for the pair said.

It will be Harry and Meghan’s first visit to the UK since departing for the United States.

Trooping the Colour, the monarch’s formal birthday procession, will kick off the four-day Jubilee celebrations on June 2, with 18 members of the royal family expected to assemble on the famed façade, with the Queen “looking forward” to the weekend of celebrations.

“After careful consideration, the Queen has decided that this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday, June 2 will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen,” according to a Palace spokesman.
