Six people on board two Boeing B-17 and Bell P-63 demonstration airplanes that collided in the air in the US state of Texas have died.
Dallas District Judge Clay Jenkins announced on his Twitter account this morning that 6 people on board the two planes that collided during the air show organized yesterday at Dallas Executive Airport lost their lives.
“Authorities will continue to work today to investigate and identify the deceased,” Jenkins said. Please pray for their families and all concerned.”
In a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), it was noted that two aircraft collided in the air during an air show at Executive Airport, located about 16 kilometers outside the city of Dallas.
In the footage taken by spectators and shared on social media, it was seen that two old-style demonstration planes crashed to the ground after colliding and a fireball was seen rising from there.
About 40 firefighters responded to the crash, while the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTBS) were investigating the collision.
