The Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced that the city of Kherson, from which Russian troops withdrew, is under Ukrainian control.

In a statement made by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry for the Kherson region, “Kherson region, where Russian troops withdrew, is under Ukrainian control. Our troops started to enter the city.”
According to AA, in the video shared on the “Kherson News” channel on Telegram, a Ukrainian soldier stated that they entered Kherson. The Ukrainian flag and the flag of the European Union were placed at the base of the monument in front of the administrative building in the center of Kherson. Ukrainian soldiers showed the command centers where Russian forces were staying and the equipment they were using.
The Russian Defense Ministry had decided to withdraw the entire defense line in Kherson to the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Kherson, along with the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia, was annexed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 30.
