Trump was “livid,” saying, “POTUS is angry.” Secret Service agent issues warning after Supreme Court rejects election results appeal
New information and testimony produced by the Jan. 6 committee on Thursday indicated that former President Donald Trump was visibly upset when the Supreme Court denied his appeal of the results of the 2020 election and did not want people to know he had lost.
A Secret Service agent informed other members about Trump’s response in an email that the committee obtained and delivered.

The House select committee also played newly videotaped testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson, a former assistant to Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, who saw Trump’s rage on the day the Supreme Court rejected his appeal.
Hutchinson stated, “Mr. Meadows and I were at a Christmas reception in the White House residence. The president was exiting the Oval Office when we were returning from the Christmas reception, so we ran into each other in the Rose Garden colonnade.
According to Hutchinson, “the president was furious over the Supreme Court judgment.
Trump was “ranting about the decision, and how it’s bad, and why didn’t we make more calls,” as she backed away a few steps. Just his usual explosion of rage in response to this choice.
Trump allegedly said, “I don’t want people to know we lost, Mark,” according to Hutchinson. This is a shame. Work things out. We have to work things out. We lost, but I don’t want people to know that.
Trump has never officially admitted that Joe Biden won the election. However, fresh testimony from members of the Trump administration provided to the committee on Thursday revealed that the president at the time had already conceded defeat in private before the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
In his testimony, Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated, “So we’re in the Oval, and there’s a discussion going on. And the president replies, I believe it was [former Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo, “Yeah, we lost, we need—we need to let that issue go to the next guy,” referring to Vice President Biden.
“I remember maybe a week after the election was called, I popped into the Oval just to, like, give the president the headlines and see how he was doing,” Alyssa Farah, the former White House director of strategic communications, told the committee. “And he was looking at the TV, and he said, ‘Can you believe I lost to this effing guy?’
The House committee held its 10th public session on Thursday as part of its 15-month probe into the circumstances behind the Capitol rebellion.
Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., the committee’s co-chair, has described Trump’s strategy as a “sophisticated seven-part plan to overturn the election and impede the transfer of presidential power,” and the committee has utilized the televised hearings to shed light on it.
