According to Reuters news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a partial military mobilisation.
Saying that they support the independence decisions of Ukraine’s Donbas, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, Putin argued that Western countries do not want a peaceful solution in Ukraine and said, “If our territorial integrity is threatened, Russia will use all available means, this is not a bluff.”
In a televised speech, Putin said his aim was to ‘liberate’ the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine and that most people in the region did not want to submit again to what he called Ukraine’s ‘slavery’.
