While many viewers stated that the series met their expectations, some viewers criticized the series. Following this, Amazon blocked users from commenting on The Rings of Power.

The Lord of the Rings, one of the most cult cinematic universes of the cinema world, reached its audience yesterday in the form of a series. The mega-budget series The Rings of Power became a hot topic in the movie world with its release. Some of the viewers criticized the series for not meeting their expectations.
The giant company Amazon, on the other hand, is suspicious that a group of people are deliberately writing reviews that will badmouth the series. This event, referred to as ‘Review Bombing’, means that a group of people gather and deliberately give a low rating and review to a series or movie.
In the face of this incident, the company stated that it suspected that a Review Bombing was being implemented against the series. To prevent this, it added that they suspended the reviews of the series. With this method applied by Amazon for precaution, it will not be possible to review the series for the next three days.
Despite all this, the production received a passing grade from the audience in general. This brought good news. Lindsey Weber, the show’s producer, said that they are ready for the second season and will start working on it in a few weeks at the latest.
According to reports that have emerged in the past weeks, Amazon will make a big payment for The Lord of the Rings. Allegedly, there is a budget of 465 million dollars for season 1 alone. It also cost 250 million dollars to buy the broadcast rights. The total box office revenue of the original trilogy of the series is 2.92 billion dollars.
