YouTube, which wants to increase competition with Spotify’s podcast service, is preparing a design where users can directly access podcast content. According to recently leaked information, the company will also include podcasts on the “Explore” page.
Google recently announced that YouTube Shorts content will be watermarked like TikTok. To appeal to more users, the company has created a new page for podcast listeners.

YouTube aims to increase podcast listeners
Podcast creators publish their content on many different platforms, especially Apple Music and Spotify. YouTube, which has recently become a favorite of podcasters, has accelerated its efforts to reach more people.
The company’s podcast plan was leaked from an internal presentation in March. It is estimated that the new design released for US users will be active all over the world in a short time.
The “Podcast” tab on the Explore page will allow users to access the most listened content. Popular episodes, popular podcast playlists, recommended podcasts and popular podcast creators will be listed separately.
Some users have noted that the YouTube podcast page design has not yet lived up to expectations. Unfortunately, Android device owners cannot use the default Listening Controls feature when they want to listen to a podcast.
Many users still actively use the platform called Google Podcasts. The company is expected to move the Google Podcasts platform to YouTube.
