According to US media reports, Marco Troper, a freshman math major, was found unresponsive in his dormitory on the Clark Kerr campus around 4:23 pm.

It was reported that Troper could not be saved despite all interventions of emergency medical teams.
While police said there were no signs of foul play at the scene, Troper’s grandmother, Esther Wojcicki, said she believes the teen died of a drug overdose:
“He took a drug and we don’t know what was in it. One thing we know, it was a drug.”
“Marco was the kindest, loving, smart, funny and beautiful person in the world,” Esther said on social media:
Marco’s life was cut too short. And we are all devastated, thinking of all the opportunities and life experiences he will miss and we will miss together. Marco, we all love you and miss you more than you can imagine.
