“Annie Live!” and “Arcane” Among the 2022 Emmys’ Juried Winners

On September 3 and 4, the Creative Arts Emmys will reveal the winners in the categories of animation, costuming, hair, makeup, and motion design.

Winners in many juried categories, including animation, costuming, hairstyling, makeup, and motion design, have been announced for the 2022 Emmy Awards.

While NBC musical Annie Live! won for best hairstyling for a variety, factual, or reality program, Netflix’s Arcane received three awards in the animation category. Home After Dark on Apple TV+ took home the prize for best motion design.

The 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Honors will be held this year on September 3 and September 4 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, and the juried awards will be given out at both events.

A panel of the participants’ peers in each category evaluates the applicants. For this reason, winners are chosen via a one-step evaluation and voting system, followed by a detailed study of the project. One, more than one, or none might be given an Emmy.
