It was reported that 4 firefighters were injured in the efforts to extinguish the forest fire in the Saechsische-Schweiz-Osterzgebirge Region on the Czech border in the state of Saxony in Germany.
In the statement made by the Saechsische-Schweiz-Osterzgebirge Regional Administration, it was stated that 350 people and 66 vehicles intervened in the forest fire on 150 hectares on the German side, and a total of 13 firefighting helicopters will support the work with the participation of two more helicopters.

In the statement, it was shared that 4 firefighters have been injured since the forest fire started and two of them are being treated in the hospital.
Pointing out that the region is rainy today, it was announced that the rains will not be enough to contribute to the work done to extinguish the fire, and that the teams do not expect any noticeable relief in the forest fire in this context.
The fire, which started in the Ceske Svycarsko National Park in the Czech Republic on July 24, later spread to the Saechsische Schweiz National Park in the state of Saxony in Germany.
The Saechsische-Schweiz-Osterzgebirg Regional Government had issued a “disaster alert” for the cities of Bad Schandau and Sebnitz, which are close to the forest area in question, and called on tourists to stay away from the area.
