The royal book written by British journalist Tom Bower will stir the family. The book contains remarkable information about what was the last straw in the process of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry leaving their royal duties called ‘Megxit’.

A new book could cause unrest in the royal family. According to the book, Queen Elizabeth and her son Prince Charles asked Meghan Markle to go to the US to fix her relationship with her father, which had turned into a more complicated dispute.

This request accelerated the process of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal separation, dubbed ‘Megxit’.

The book ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between Meghan, Harry and the Windsors’, written by British journalist Tom Bower, recounts how Prince Charles and the Queen held a conference call weeks after Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May 2018 to try to smooth over the Duchess’s public disagreement with Thomas Markle, but Meghan Markle refused to comply with their request.

According to Bower, 77-year-old Thomas Markle had said he would not attend the wedding because he was embarrassed by the photos he gave to the paparazzi at the time. Thomas Markle, a retired Hollywood lighting director, criticized the royal family in several interviews at the time, saying he had no way to communicate with his daughter and feared he would die without ever speaking to her again.

“HE CONTRADICTED HIS FATHER”

Bower wrote that Thomas Markle’s claims contradict Meghan Markle’s statement that her father was too ill to fly to the wedding. According to the author, by July 2018, Prince Charles had become increasingly uncomfortable with Meghan Markle. “He never really understood her or what she wanted,” Bower wrote.

MARKLE REJECTS THE REQUEST

According to Bower, Prince Charles asked his son Harry, “Can’t he just go and see his father and be done with it?”

In a conference call between Meghan, Harry, Charles and the Queen, Meghan said it was “completely unrealistic” to think she could fly to Mexico, where her father lives, and that “somehow I hope to speak to my father privately without causing media attention and interference that could bring further embarrassment to the royal family.”

Two weeks after this conversation, the couple Meghan and Harry announced on Instagram that they wanted to leave their royal duties.

“HE FELT EXCLUDED”

Bower wrote that Markle also felt thoroughly ostracized by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.

“Meghan Markle resented the refusal of palace officials to protect her image. She refused to accept that staff were employed to position her within the royal family as a whole, rather than promoting her as an individual. Meghan was particularly angry about the refusal to officially criticize Thomas Markle. From her perspective, Meghan was isolated, vulnerable and stifled by tradition,” the book said.

VOGUE DIDN’T PUT THE QUEEN ON ITS COVER

The plan to abandon royal roles altogether was made after the publication of the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, guest edited by Meghan Markle. Bower wrote that the absence of the Queen on the cover, which features 15 women who are “reshaping society”, caused a bombshell in the royal family.
