OLED iPads will be higher quality and thinner
It was previously announced that Apple plans to launch the first iPad models with OLED displays in 2024. It is among the information that Apple, which has not yet switched to OLED display even though it is successful in display, will do more about iPad.
Apple already has three display suppliers. It is stated that Samsung has increased the quality of its panels for the order, while LG is preparing itself for OLED iPad screen orders, and BOE was recently said to be making preparations for orders. However, more details are not yet known.
On the other hand, Apple has created several different prototypes of the product. The company wants iPads to be both thinner and higher quality. A different OLED technique will be used for this. While Samsung uses a wet etching process in traditional OLED production, Apple will prefer the more advanced approach of dry etching on the production line.
Apple aims for absolute success in the OLED field. In previous reports, it was stated that the first Macbook with OLED display will be released in 2025, depending on the success of iPads with 11 and 12.9-inch OLED displays.
