Researchers in Scotland have discovered new clues about the impact of porn viewing on men’s romantic relationships.

It has long been thought how ponography affects men’s ability to form or maintain relationships.

Now scientists from the University of Albertay have found that men find bodies they liken to adult movie stars less attractive.

However, this did not extend to women’s faces. In other words, viewing habits do not change the likelihood of men finding women’s faces attractive.

Moreover, the researchers observed this effect in both heterosexual and homosexual participants. This suggested that sexual arousal was not the main reason for the change in participants’ ratings.

According to the researchers, the findings contradict common claims that pornography consumption definitively affects men’s ability to form relationships.

“Sexual arousal through pornography may be playing a role in men’s judgments of attractiveness towards women,” said Dr. Christopher Watkins, who led the study, adding:

“But this does not mean that it has a negative and universal effect on the way men view other women, as some have claimed.”

Male participants in the study were asked to look at images of clothed or nude actresses.

They were then shown a series of other images of women and asked to rate how attractive they found them.

Participants were less attracted to bodies that resembled the actresses they saw in the pornographic images, while their feelings about the women’s faces were unaffected by the porn experience.

The researchers now want to determine whether this effect is also seen in women.
