Joining this iconic quartet are luminaries such as Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham, Dua Lipa, and Miley Cyrus, all part of Enninful’s vision for a Legendary issue dedicated entirely to women.
Enninful aimed to spotlight women who have left an indelible mark on society, transcending fashion and culture in the 2020s. The lineup includes Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Gemma Chan, Jodie Comer, Maya Jama, and Rina Sawayama, representing a diverse spectrum of talent from Britain and beyond. Notable names like Serena Williams, Iman, Selma Blair, and Anya Taylor-Joy round out the star-studded cast.
The logistics of assembling such a group were formidable, with talents converging from around the globe for a December photoshoot in a New York studio. Enninful detailed some behind-the-scenes moments, like Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford carpooling, and Salma Hayek Pinault staying at Linda Evangelista’s house the night before. Despite busy schedules, everyone ensured smooth operations, even allowing Gigi Hadid to make it home to her toddler on time.
To dispel any doubts, Vogue posted a video of the group photoshoot, affirming that the stars were indeed together and not digitally composited. Enninful, having helmed the magazine for seven groundbreaking years, is stepping down as editor-in-chief but will continue as an editorial advisor in a new role focused on global brand expansion. His successor, Chioma Nnadi, becomes the first black woman to lead British Vogue, taking the title of head of editorial content.
The much-anticipated March issue of British Vogue will be available for digital download and on newsstands starting Tuesday, February 13th.
