Eight medical personnel will stand trial for negligence in the death of legendary Argentine soccer player Diego Maradona.
Argentine judicial authorities decided to prosecute 8 personnel after the medical board established after Diego Armando Maradona died of a heart attack two years ago reported that there were ‘deficiencies and irregularities’ in the treatment.

The medical staff will be tried for ‘culpable homicide’ in the death of the former Argentine soccer player.
The medical board of 20 experts concluded in its report last year that the legendary footballer’s medical care was inadequate and his health was ‘abandoned to his fate’.
The report stated that Maradona could have survived longer if he had been treated in a hospital under appropriate conditions in his last days.
