Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Aleksandr Tkachenko, in his message on the occasion of the Journalists’ Day celebrated in his country today, noted that Journalists’ Day has a bitter taste in the country this year, stressing that 32 Ukrainian journalists lost their lives in the fourth month of the war started by Russia.

Stating that the number of Ukrainian journalists who have died in the war in the last 8 years is higher, Tkachenko drew attention to the importance of the role of journalists in Ukraine today.

Stating that the responsibility, dedication, perseverance and courage of journalists are also very valuable, Tkachenko said, “Our information front is very strong thanks to you.”
