Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy says he is not willing to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin but must face reality that it will be necessary to end the war.
According to Reuters, Zelenskiy told an Indonesian-based think tank, “There are things to talk about with the Russian leader. I’m not telling you that our people are eager to talk to him. But we have to face the realities we live in. What do we want from this meeting? We want our lives back. We want to take back the life of a sovereign country on its own soil.”
Zelenskiy added that Russia does not yet appear ready for peace talks.
