Lavrov, who criticized Scholz, who supported Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and imposed economic sanctions on Russia, said, “Germany has lost the last signs of its independence after the Scholz government came to power.” Lavrov, who also made a statement about the economic war between China and western countries, with which Russia maintains alliance relations, said, “China has surpassed the West and advanced to the forefront economically.”
“HE IS NOT RESUMING NEGOTIATIONS BECAUSE KIEV HAS WITHDRAWN”
Lavrov stated that after Russia’s operations in Ukraine, the negotiations that first started in Belarus, then continued in Turkey and then continued over the internet have now stopped, “Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are not continuing because Kiev has withdrawn from this process.” Lavrov, who argued that Kiev was guided by the United States and Britain in the negotiations between the two countries, said, “We have information through various channels that Washington and London are directing Ukrainian negotiators and even that there are representatives of these countries on Ukrainian territory.” Lavrov stated that there is a difference between the messages given by Ukraine and the implementation and that this country does not have an independent thought, “The Kiev regime talks at every opportunity that they are not anti-Russian and that there are no neo-Nazis in their country. No matter what they say themselves, of course they are not independent.” Lavrov, who argued that the West could not offer security guarantees to Ukraine, said, “The West does not need Ukraine. Because they think Ukraine is consumable.”
