Free Fall Guys gospel on Switch, PS5 and Xbox
According to the official statement from Fall Guys developer Mediatonic, it will be available to play for free on Tuesday, June 21. The battle-royale production, which will be available on the Epic Games Store, will also be available for Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
All versions of the game (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Series X) will support cross-play through the Epic servers. The game, which is currently available from Steam, will not be available on Steam as of June 21. However, according to the statement, users who previously bought the game from Steam will continue to receive updates on the Epic Games Store.
Originally, the Switch and Xbox versions of Fall Guys were scheduled to be released in the summer of 2021, but there have been unexpected delays for these platforms. This also prevented developer Mediatonic from offering cross-platform support.
Fall Guys, which has become free to play, will also receive major innovations for June 21. Along with the free model, new challenges, rewards, events, locations, in-game currency (Show-Bucks) and a new season called Free For All will be introduced.
Mediatonic does not neglect to give a small surprise to the players who bought Fall Guys. Existing users who pay for the game will be able to upgrade directly to the Free For All season with the Legacy Pack as they receive free costumes and “early investment in the Fall Guys”.
Fall Guys, which was presented in August 2020 and disrupted the player base on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube in a short time, managed to attract the attention of Epic Games with its success. Epic Games acquired Mediatonic last year in an undisclosed deal.
