Pubg becomes an NFT game? Blockchain agreement with Solana

Krafton, known as the developer of PUBG: Battlegrounds, has signed a new agreement for blockchain and NFT-powered games running on the Solana network. Krafton said it has signed a long-term deal with Solana Labs and also plans to explore venture opportunities in the Solana network.

Krafton said plans to partner with Solana Labs include “the development and operation of blockchain and NFT-based games and services.” Therefore, it seems likely that NFT will come to PUBG and pubg will be played to win NFT.

PUBG developer Krafton and Solana agree

Krafton, the company behind the popular battle royale game PUBG, has been known to follow the world of NFT and Web3 for some time. However, the new deal with Solana Labs may include PUBG, which is very popular with both mobile and computer gamers.

Krafton has not yet mentioned whether it will include PUBG or any other game in the Web3 world. He also did not say whether he would create a new NFT blockchain game connected to the Solana network. Although PUBG is Krafton’s best-known game, it’s important to remember that the publisher has franchises like Subnautica and Tera, and on the mobile side, golf king and bowling king.

Krafton Web 3.0 Administrator Hyungchul Park said krafton will look for ways to work with the Solana Labs blockchain company as it tries to build the Web 3.0 ecosystem. According to Park, this collaboration will enable Krafton to gain the information needed to accelerate its investment and the production of blockchain-based experiences.

Krafton also previously announced a deal with Naver Z to build an “NFT platform and metaverse.” The South Korean company operates Zepeto, a metaverse-like social experience with about 20 million monthly users.
