In a letter addressed to the French people and published in local newspapers, Macron said his country has been through many challenges in the past five years and has been working in many areas.
Macron said they have not yet accomplished everything, adding that he wants to build the children’s France.
Macron said that’s why he’s running for president again.
Pointing out that they will strengthen the economy to gain the country’s independence, Macron said he would prioritize education and the demands of teachers and fight injustices.
Macron said this election will determine the direction of the country’s next five years.
Macron’s candidacy was considered certain in the French public, although he has not yet announced it.
Macron, who has so far postponed the announcement of his candidacy due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, had gathered the necessary 500 signatures from the mayor, regional councilor, lawmaker or senators for his candidacy.
Candidates have until 6pm local time tomorrow to formally apply to the Constitutional Court.
The first round of the country’s presidential election will be held on April 10th. If any of the candidates fails to win an outright majority in the first round, the two candidates with the most votes will compete in the second round on April 24th.
