Regarding whether there will be a nuclear war, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said, “Nuclear war is what is on the mind of the West, not ours. The rhetoric was expressed not by us, but by NATO and Ukraine.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
“We have no idea about the delay in negotiations, I think they are taking instructions from Washington. I have no doubt that this country (Ukraine) is not independent, but negotiations must be held,” Lavrov said, stressing that “the West cannot determine what is necessary for Russia’s security.”
“Russia is ready for an equal-based dialogue”
Pointing out that Russia is ready for an equal-based dialogue, taking into account the interests of others, Lavrov said, “I hope that a solution to the Ukraine problem will be found, russia’s conditions consist of minimal, minimum expectations in this regard. Russia cannot tolerate, and cannot allow, any more threats towards it from Ukrainian territory,” he said.
“We don’t say nuclear war”
On whether there will be nuclear war, Lavrov said:
“A possible nuclear war is not in our minds, it’s what the West has in mind. This rhetoric was expressed not by us, but by NATO and Ukraine. Russia will not allow itself to be destabilized by provocations from the West on this issue.
The United States and the EU are doing all they can to prevent all information from Russia in this process, and Russian sources of information are being blocked.”
