Social media platform Instagram has launched its subscription feature with prices ranging from $0.99 to $99.99.
Instagram has officially launched its subscription feature, which has been talked about for months. The feature, listed in November as “Subscriptions” on Instagram’s page in the App Store, allows creators to mond money directly from live streams and stories.
Subscriptions are different from Instagram’s Exclusive Stories function, which appeared in June 2021. With Custom Stories, the creator can only make their stories paid. However, thanks to the subscription, it is also possible to make money from live broadcasts.

Meta’s social media platform is part of its early access program for subscription functionality; @alanchikinchow has made available to 10 creators in the U.S., including @sedona._, @alizakelly, @kelseylynncook, @elliottnorris, @jordanchiles, @jackjerry, @bunnymichael, @donalleniii, and @lonnieiiv.
Through ‘subscriptions’, creators will charge as much sharing as they want. The producer will determine the price. At this point, Instagram allows for eight different prices, from $0.99 to $99.99. However, most creators are expected to price $1 – $4 instead of high figures such as $19.99, $49.99 or $99.99 in the first place.
The creator will be able to subscribe the stories and live streams saved in the highlights section of the account. It will also be able to publish events such as subscriber-specific surveys and Q&A sessions. Instagram will also give subscribers a special badge to help them stand out in comments and in the creator’s inbox.
He won’t get a share of the revenue.
Instagram has not developed its own payment method for subscriptions. The user who wants to subscribe to an account will pay with the built-in payment engine on Android or iOS. Meta announced that creators will not receive a share of subscription revenues.
