MediaTek showcased Wi-Fi 7 technology for the first time in the world

After Wi-Fi 6, which is the latest technology in wireless communication and is not yet used by everyone, Wi-Fi 7 also appeared.

MediaTek today announced the world’s first live demo of Wi-Fi 7 technology, highlighting the features of its upcoming Wi-Fi 7 Filogic connectivity portfolio. Wi-Fi 7 technology will be 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6.

Wi-Fi 7 emerges before Wi-Fi 6 becomes widespread

“The launch of Wi-Fi 7 will show for the first time that Wi-Fi can be a true wired/ethernet alternative for applications with super-high bandwidth,” said Alan Hsu, managing director and corporate vice president of Smart Connectivity at MediaTek. MediaTek’s Wi-Fi 7 technology will be the backbone of home, office and industrial networks and provide seamless connectivity for everything from multiplayer AR/VR applications to cloud gaming, 4K calls to 8K streaming and beyond.

MediaTek’s demo shows how Wi-Fi 7 Filogic technology can achieve the maximum speed defined by IEEE 802.11be and multilink processing (MLO) technology. MLO technology works by combining multiple channels across different frequency bands at the same time to highlight how network traffic can flow smoothly, even if there is interference or congestion in the bands. With this technology, faster and more reliable video streaming is critical to gaming and anything else that requires real-time streaming.

Wi-Fi 7; It will be unique in that it offers completely new capabilities across all available spectrums for Wi-Fi uses, including 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. Wi-Fi 7 will offer speeds 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6 on a transmitter with the same number of antennas. Because Wi-Fi 7 will use 320 Mhz channels and support 4K quad amplitude modulation (QAM) technology. Other notable features of Wi-Fi 7 include a multi-user resource unit (MRU) for advanced interference prevention and mitigation.

How do you find wi-fi 7 technology to be revealed and tested when you haven’t fully adapted to Wi-Fi 6 technology yet? You can specify it in the comments.
