Ford is recalling 200,000 cars due to brake pedal failure!

Ford is recalling 200,000 older model cars due to a potentially reserved brake pedal bumper, according to NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) documents dated last week. According to the documents, this failure can cause cars to constantly turn on the brake light and distract other drivers on the highway.

Ford will recall some Fusion, Lincoln MKZ sedan and Mustang models manufactured between 2014 and 2015. The recall will affect 199,085 cars. It is also said that this failure can cause vehicles with automatic gears to leave the parking position without pressing the brake pedal. This may increase the risk of injury.

Ford is recalling hundreds of old cars! Here's why

Models with brake pedal bumpers that can be exposed to high temperatures and humidity and rusted were all found to be sold in South America or Hawaii. Owners of the vehicles are expected to receive the recall notice by March 3. After the recall, car owners will be able to replace their car’s brake pedal bumpers and clutch pedal bumpers for free from Ford dealers.

The company has made such recalls in recent years. The frequency of these recalls gives us some doubts about Ford. So, what are your thoughts? Don’t forget to include your comments and opinions below.
