Government response to ‘Kim Jong-un is sick’ allegations: Our president eats less for his people
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un looked weaker than ever in photos released the previous day. Officials stated that Kim ate less for his people, while flatly denied the allegations that Kim had health problems.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was seen to be noticeably weakened in photos taken at a meeting he attended and released by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Government officials have insisted that the 37-year-old leader in the country, which is grappling with severe food shortages, is eating less for his people and flatly denied claims that Kim was sick. Earlier this year, the news that Kim had lost more than 20 kilograms aroused doubts about her health.
‘WHO WAS WEAK, PEOPLE’S HEART BROKEN’
Photos showing the North Korean leader’s further weakening were shared after the KCNA said that Kim’s weakness “breaks the hearts of the people” even though most of North Korea’s 25 million population recently struggled with hunger and systematic oppression.
