Hugo Boss expands its production in Turkey
German clothing company Hugo Boss has decided to develop its production activities in Turkey.
European companies’ interest in Turkey is increasing due to the problems in the supply chain.
The latest statement came from the German clothing company Hugo Boss. Speaking to the British newspaper Financial Times, Hugo Boss CEO Daniel Grieder stated that the company has expanded its production activity in Izmir to shorten the supply chain, which sees delays and high costs.
CEO Grieder said that Hugo Boss wants to hire about a thousand more workers at its Izmir factory and increase the staff by a third.
Hugo Boss also plans to increase its machinery and equipment investments at the facility.
Similar statements had been made before from giant companies such as Benetton, Ikea, and Camper.
