Gas prices in Europe fell by more than 10 percent
In an environment where Russia has not been shipping from the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Germany for 4 days, with the news that Europe’s gas needs are met with LNG imports from the USA, and LNG purchases from the USA have increased in order to avoid an energy crisis in Europe in the winter season, Dutch TTF Natural gas prices fell by more than 10 percent.
Today, the news that 15 LNG cargoes have diverted their routes to Europe, the natural gas price for January delivery in the Netherlands TTF decreased by 13.15 percent to 110.3 euro/MWh today.
In February, the price fell 11.85 percent to 109.4 euro/MWh.
In the UK, the gas price for January delivery fell by 18.85 percent to 2.63 pounds/MWh.
