Research: Booster dose of AstraZeneca vaccine is effective against Omicron
According to a study conducted at Oxford University, the third dose of the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca against the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) increased the number of effective antibodies against the Omicron variant.
In the statement made by AstraZeneca, it was emphasized that the level of antibodies in people who received the third dose of vaccine was higher than that in people who recovered from the coronavirus naturally.
The study of AstraZeneca’s vaccine, Vaxzevria, showed that the levels of neutralizing antibodies to Omicron after three doses of the vaccine were broadly similar to those against the Delta variant after two doses.
