Indices closed with mixed motion in the USA
Indices in the New York stock market were mixed throughout the day, with the effect of weak economic data.
The New York stock market ended the day with a mixed cruise. At the close, the Dow Jones index fell more than 100 points and fell 0.39 percent to 32,825.95 points.
While the S&P 500 index fell to 3,963.60 points with a loss of 0.13 percent, the Nasdaq index increased by 0.09 percent to 13,471.57 points.
Following the weak economic data, the indices followed a mixed course throughout the day.
According to the data released today in the US, retail sales decreased by 3 percent in February, above market expectations.
Industrial production in the country also fell by 2.2 percent monthly in February, the highest decline since April 2020.
While the course of bond yields kept its place in the focus of the markets, the 10-year bond interest of the USA climbed up to 1.62 percent during the day.
Analysts stated that the markets are waiting for the decisions that will come out of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed).
The decisions that will come out of the Fed’s FOMC meeting, which started today, will be announced tomorrow.
