Police in the northern European country of Denmark say they have detained a man in connection with a bomb threat at Billund Airport, the country’s second largest airport.
The airport in the west of Denmark was evacuated and remains closed following the threat.
“The evacuation took place calmly and as expected, with passengers following our instructions,” Reuters news agency quoted police inspector Michael Weiss as saying.
Police officials informed that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and it is not yet clear when the airport will reopen.
