The plane carrying Zelensky and his delegation landed at Atatürk Airport.
The delegation, which included Ukrainian President Zelenskiy and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, was welcomed by Mehmet Zahit Uzun, Deputy Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Istanbul, Adem Uslu, District Governor of Zeytinburnu, and Brigadier General Ali İhsan Bulut, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 1st Army Operations.
Within the scope of the visit, Zelenskiy will meet with President Erdoğan.
During the meeting, the course of the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia will be discussed.
During the meeting where the latest situation in the contacts regarding the continuation of the Grain Corridor Agreement and the search for lasting peace in the region will be discussed in detail, one of the agenda items will be Turkey-Ukraine relations.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy visited Turkey on July 7, 2023 and met with President Erdoğan at Vahdettin Mansion.
Following the head-to-head and delegation meetings between President Erdoğan and Zelenskiy, the signing ceremony of the protocol containing the memorandum of understanding on “Cooperation in the Field of Strategic Industries” between the two countries was held.
At the joint press conference, Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Turkey for its support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the Black Sea grain initiative.
