Social media platform X plans to remove the number of likes and reposts from the feed.
Elon Musk made the announcement during his speech at Morgan Stanley’s technology, media and telecom conference on Wednesday.
According to Business Insider, Musk said that X may stop showing the number of likes and reposts, and that these details make the platform look complicated.
That is definitely happening. Just view count, as proxy for the other metrics, will show on the timeline

Musk wrote on his social media account the same day that only the number of views among the metrics will be shown on the timeline. The number of reposts and likes will appear when you tap on the post.
Elon Musk has made many changes to the platform (including its name) since he bought it in October 2022. In August, he said he would remove article titles for published links, which he said would greatly improve the aesthetics of the site. The change was implemented last October, but Musk backtracked less than two months later. When will this latest change go live and how long will it last? We’ll see.
