In short, Samsung has raised the bar a little higher with four years of Android and five years of security update support for the A55 and A35. After Samsung’s move, there is a possibility that brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor will also offer four-year support for at least 2024 models.
Samsung A35 and A55 specifications
Samsung A55 and A35 specifications started to leak before March 11. Perhaps the most important feature of the model is that it comes with a metal frame compared to the past mid-top segment A series models. Accordingly, the A55 will come with Exynos 1480 on the processor side. This processor has four performance cores with 2.75 GHz processing power. These cores are accompanied by four productivity cores with 2.0 GHz processing power.
The Xclipse 530 with AMD’s RDNA2 graphics core will appear as the graphics unit in the processor. Samsung A55 5G will support this processor with 8 GB RAM. According to previous rumors, the Galaxy A55 will come with a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
A55 camera features have also leaked. Accordingly, the model is expected to come with a 50 Megapixel main camera, 5 Megapixel macro camera, 8 Megapixel wide-angle camera and 12 Megapixel selfie camera. The model will have a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
In the A35 model, which Samsung will give 4 years of Android updates, the Exynos 1380 processor appears. This processor comes with four 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. The phone will feature a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung A35 leaked specifications include 6 GB/8 GB RAM and 128 GB/256 GB storage options.
Galaxy A35 allegedly comes with a 50 Megapixel main camera with OIS and F1.8 aperture, an 8 Megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, a 5 Megapixel macro camera and a 13 Megapixel selfie camera. Smasung A35 can record 4K 30fps video with front and rear cameras. It has a 5,000mAh battery and fast charging feature.
