The II General Congress of the International Russophile Movement was held in Moscow. A “Multipolar World Forum” was held on Monday, February 26, and congress elections were held on Tuesday, February 27.

The Congress was held under the auspices of the Kremlin Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The International Russophile Movement, united against the global isolationist move launched by the US and EU-based Western governments against Russia after the Special Military Operation launched in Ukraine in February 2022, called for the promotion of the idea of a Multipolar World in the current order.

As the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has pointed out, Russia has many Russophile friends all over the world, including in the US and the EU, who are genuine and have a heartfelt attachment to the Russian people. So this is a movement that offers a constructive alternative to the sanctions that are unfairly imposed in the world and aims to build peace. -Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation
