Bangladesh fire kills 43 in Bangladesh

A fire broke out in a building in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, killing 43 people.

Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen announced that 43 people were killed and many others injured in a fire that broke out in a 6-story building in Dhaka.

Sen said the fire broke out in the building in the Bailey Road area.

Minister Sen said firefighters were continuing rescue efforts and the injured were being treated.

Firefighters said the fire broke out in a restaurant on the first floor of the building and many people were trapped by the fire.

Rescuers said 75 people were rescued from the building, 42 of them unconscious.
