Nemrut Crater Lake, Turkey’s largest crater lake located in Tatvan district of Bitlis, which receives thousands of tourists every year, was photographed from space by NASA astronauts.
Published on NASA’s official X account, the photo reads, “A wonderful caldera. A @Space_Station astronaut took this photo of the snow-covered caldera of Mount Nemrut in Turkey. The eastern half of the caldera has solidified lava flows from past eruptions. Hot springs that feed Lake Nemrut flow into the western half.” The photo shared with the note was appreciated.
