Peskov commented on French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks that sending troops to Ukraine should not be “ruled out” to journalists in Moscow.
“We had already heard about all other aspects of the French President’s statement and took them into account. We are also well aware of Macron’s position on the need to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.”
Remember what Emmanuel Macron said:
To the question of whether there would be a conflict between NATO and Russia if Western countries send troops to Ukraine, Peskov replied, “In this case, we should no longer talk about probability, but inevitability. That’s how we evaluate it.”
Stating that NATO countries should evaluate such actions well, Peskov said, “They should ask themselves whether this is in their interests and, most importantly, in the interests of the citizens of their countries.”
Macron said yesterday that there was no consensus among European countries on sending troops to Ukraine, which has been fighting against Russia for more than two years, but that the possibility should not be ruled out.
