The man who set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington was a soldier in the US Air Force and protested against the genocide in Gaza. The protest of 25-year-old Aaron Bushnell, who is on active duty in the US Air Force, and the footage of the moment he set himself on fire went viral on social media.
According to his LinkedIn account, Bushnell, 25, excels in teamwork and has received praise from his managers for this.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Bushnell received basic and technical training in the US Air Force for seven months, and after graduating first in his training, he worked for two years in Information Technology Infrastructure Monitoring and Surveillance.
Bushnell is currently working as a DevOps Engineer in the US Air Force.
In 2015-2017, Aaron Bushnell reportedly worked as an IT and Network Development Specialist at Paraclete Press, a company that produces Christian books and music.

According to his Facebook account, Bushnell follows the page of Students for Justice in Palestine, a group within Kent State University.
