Doctor Who actress Pamela Salem has passed away

Pamela Salem, the actress nicknamed Miss Moneypenny in Never Say Never Again and Prof. Rachel Jensen in Doctor Who, died at the age of 80.

Pamela Salem, best known for her role as James Bond’s secretary Miss Moneypenny in Sean Connery’s Never Say Never Again, has died at the age of 80.


Born in India in 1944. She attended the University of Heidelberg in Germany and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London before taking up repertory theater in Chesterfield and York. He has also appeared in the US drama series The West Wing, in which he played the prime minister of the United Kingdom, and the medical drama ER.

Salem was also known for her science fiction roles in Blake’s 7, The Tripods and Into the Labyrinth. She reprised her role as the Doctor Who character Prof. Rachel Jensen.
