In northern Gaza, even the animal feed that people are forced to eat has run out

In a statement issued by the Media Office of the government in Gaza, warnings were issued about the situation in Gaza, where Israel has continued its attacks for 126 days.

“Hunger is growing in the northern Gaza Strip and we hold the US and the Israeli occupation fully responsible for its dangerous repercussions,” the statement said.

It was emphasized that even the animal feed that people had to eat in the north of the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army prevented the entry of aid and condemned people to starvation, was exhausted.

“We hold the United States, the Israeli occupation and the international community fully responsible for the escalation of hunger in northern Gaza, following the depletion of food, flour, rice, grain and even animal feed for residents,” the statement said, addressing the international community.

The statement continued as follows:

“All countries of the world have a moral and humanitarian responsibility in the face of this dirty crime committed by Israel with the support of the United States. The countries of the world must condemn this crime, which could lead to the death of half a million people in the northern areas of Gaza.

We demand the urgent delivery of 1,000 trucks per day to the northern Gaza Strip until the hunger and its effects are erased. If this is not done, we will face a real humanitarian catastrophe.”

In Gaza, with a population of 2.3 million people, where 600 aid trucks were delivered daily before the Israeli attacks began, the aid currently delivered meets a very limited part of the need, despite the displacement of approximately 2 million Palestinians.

Overcrowding, lack of water, food and medicine in the shelters where displaced Palestinians take refuge, infectious diseases spread rapidly, while the Israeli army targets humanitarian convoys, humanitarian workers, hospitals and medical teams.
