In an accident at Itami Airport in Osaka, two passenger planes of All Nippon Airways (ANA) crashed into each other.

In the accident, which occurred at 10.10 local time, the planes collided on the runway of the domestic terminal. No one was injured in the accident, but both planes sustained minor damage.

Itami Airport, located between Osaka and Hyogo prefectures, is the closest airport to the former capital Kyoto.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
