What do you plan to do with the US?

What do you plan to do with America?

The correct question is ‘what do you intend to do with the US’, but at the moment, it is more appropriate to focus on discussions on ‘how to shelve it’…

In the terrorist attack that took our children from us, we had an agenda in which those behind it were discussed as much as those who pulled the trigger, and we faced the ‘ugly truth’ once again…

How will the US problem be overcome?

In the last three attacks, the possibility of n-direct US involvement and direct Israeli involvement seems more plausible. The comparative flow of events points to this. The crisis in Gaza, now in its 100th day, has raised Ankara-Tel Aviv relations to a state of ‘almost war’…

The leaders of both states openly express their ‘mutual feelings’. What is happening in the field of intelligence is already ‘war’…

However, the Israeli hand in the affair does not diminish or change the fact that America is the cause of this too. At the beginning of the Gaza crisis, the message of the US-UK coalition that put aircraft carriers behind Israel was ‘interfere and you will find me’. In the following days, this effect was extended to secure and control the area of Israeli presence in the region. That was the Red Sea…

In conclusion, the US is a gigantic national security problem/threat for Turkey as well as the region and the world. Worse, there is no publicized, seemingly functional solution to this problem…

CLOSING BASES, LEAVING NATO, FIGHTING BACK…

Punishing the US and getting over it are different issues. The closure of the Incirlik and Kürecik bases, withdrawal from NATO, going further and ‘fighting back’ are being discussed a lot in the public opinion. It is true that these ‘measures’ punish the US. On the other hand, it would end your relationship with the West once and for all. Each or all of them can be discussed in terms of national interests. On the other hand, the consequences should also be discussed in a cold-blooded manner…
For me, for example, the conditions for closing the bases are getting more ripe every day. But our NATO membership strengthens our hand even against NATO. Sweden’s accession process is a good example. I would prefer it not to be ratified, but it is also true that we are using the space it opens up for Ankara.

In fact, Turkey’s relationship with Western international institutions like the EU and NATO is already slowly killing itself. No matter what we say about our commitment to the EU, both sides know that we are now in a vegetative state. And nobody is doing anything. Everyone is avoiding the responsibility of pulling the plug, but everyone sees the ‘dead’ in the bed…

There is a necessity to ‘respond to the US’. ‘Fine-tuned’ reciprocity seems to be needed. When you are slapped, you do not turn the other cheek, but when there is no response, there is an invitation for a new one. Obviously, this answer is not enough to beat the donkey. In that case, very well-calculated/booked steps may be put on the agenda.
In short, each of these proposals has its advantages and disadvantages. However, the US problem remains as it is. It will continue to stand even if you do it all at once…

BLAME GEOPOLITICS ON AMERICA!…

This leads Turkey to a deadlock. The fact that the US is behind every development that hurts us in the region, and the repetition of all kinds of attacks, including political and economic, unfortunately renders the usual/established solutions to the problem, even bilateral diplomacy, dysfunctional. No one has a solution, and there is a barrenness in forging a new path…

We need a medium-term plan. It cannot be long term because the problems are urgent and there is the possibility of changing circumstances. It cannot be short-term because we are hurting and it is costing us money. The to-do list for the ‘Second Century’ is getting heavier…

So, to the question of what to do with America, or what to do to America, we suggest that the new geopolitical conditions evolving in the ‘5 seas basin’ be blamed on Washington…

THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES…

One, the Ukraine-Russia war. Two, the Armenia-Azerbaijan war. Three, the Israel-Gaza crisis. Four, the four-way intersecting/conflicting corridor wars in the region. Five, the decline of the United States in the Greater Middle East and the advance of the East, China and Russia to the most advanced point in history. Six, countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran becoming BRICS members. Seven, changes in Turkey’s policies. Eight, changes in energy dynamics. Nine, tensions in the regional seas/routes. Ten, anti-coalition rhetoric in Iraqi politics. Eleven, Syria. Twelve, the fluctuations in global political and economic power over all of them, and thirteen, the US Presidential elections.

These current developments, which we have listed in one breath, are divided into dozens of sub-headings and create a high strategic stress area with the Turkic Republics on one end, the Balkans on the other, Africa on the lower end, and Russia-Turkey on top. Each country is burdened by this weight, but it is secondary! The main burden fills America’s baggage and falls on the West. The total threat is to them. That’s why they are loading up on wars/crises…

The common cluster of these developments and crises is unhappiness with the current US-centered world order. The challenge is the uncertainty of the ‘global life form in the first place’. These irregularities/anomalies need to be organized in order for the objection to come to life…

Ankara can play an ‘organizing, accelerating, encouraging’ role here. It is to be both an actor and a catalyst. It can use bilateral cooperation in organizations such as the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Organization of Turkic States, and in areas of tension such as the Black Sea basin, the Caspian basin, Iraq and Iran. It can form small triangles…

The question of what is the main goal/purpose of these steps is important. There is no ideal scheme as the world is in a state of purgatory. However, whatever is to be established requires excavation. If this is completed first, Turkey’s suffering will rapidly diminish, even as the search for a new phase continues…
