YouTube, considered the most popular of digital content platforms, has been on the agenda lately. The platform, which aims to provide better service to its users with the features it brings, is stepping into a new field.
YouTube Playables allows you to play games on the platform
YouTube is making some innovations in order for Premium users to benefit from more features. First of all, the feature that we leaked in June is being rolled out. Google, YouTube Playables feature is coming to the platform.
YouTube Playables, which will be aimed at Premium subscribers, will initially offer games in the style that the gaming world calls arcade. 37 games, including Angry Birds Showdown, are currently available. Google has not drawn a clear roadmap for the feature.
This is not the first time a content platform has entered the gaming space. As it is known, Netflix has entered the gaming world. It is not yet known how successful the feature, which is actively used by users, is at the moment. YouTube will also realize this risk and will test the feature until March 28, 2024. Its performance during that period will decide whether the feature will continue.
According to insiders, if the program is successful, YouTube may switch to a cloud-based gaming system. Some sources claimed that if the desired success is achieved, big budget games could also be tested with cloud support. However, there is no concrete step on this issue yet.
