Widespread power outage in Argentina

In Argentina, more than half of the country was left without electricity after a fire affecting the national electricity grid.

It was announced that the fire started in open areas, affected important power lines in the coastal region and disabled a nuclear power plant.

In the country, where temperatures above 35 degrees centigrade were recorded in places, there was a power outage in many cities, including the capital Buenos Aires.

Due to the blackout, daily life came to a standstill in some regions, classes were interrupted and workplaces were closed.

The Ministry of Energy announced that electricity will be delivered in a short time.
