In Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, a 4-year-old boy named Logan called the emergency hotline after his mother had a seizure. Logan gave the dispatcher the correct information and stayed calmly on the phone until paramedics arrived and took care of his 1-year-old little brother. His mother, Kayla Moher, said that after a roller coaster accident years ago, she had intermittent epilepsy-like seizures and that they had taught 4-year-old Logan what to do in such situations.
The police awarded Logan a ‘Life Saving Certificate’ yesterday in connection with the incident last month. “Logan’s mother was having a seizure and needed medical attention. Logan calmly called 911 and told dispatcher Sarah what was happening and that his mother needed help. Logan stayed on the phone with Sarah until the necessary resources arrived at the house. Logan was also able to keep his 1-year-old sister calm.”
