Workplaces in Spain will no longer be able to use air conditioners below 27 degrees Celsius
In Spain, a restriction on the use of air conditioning has come into force. Air conditioners in public offices and workplaces cannot be turned down below 27 degrees. It has also become mandatory to keep the doors of these places closed.
In winter, heaters cannot be turned up above 19 degrees.
Hospitals, schools and hairdressers will be exempt from the regulation.
Restaurants will also be able to use air conditioners at 25 degrees.
Greece and Italy also restricted the use of air conditioners in public buildings last month. The use of air conditioners below 27 degrees was banned.
750 euro fine for air-conditioned businesses in France that do not close their doors
In France, businesses using air conditioning are obliged to keep their doors closed. It was announced that businesses that do not comply with this will be fined 750 euros.

The German city of Hanover has also banned the use of air conditioners and fan heaters in public buildings other than hospitals and schools.
