After 29 consecutive drawings without a winner, the draw for the third-largest lottery prize in the country ballooned to such an enormous amount.

It’s time to check your numbers for US lottery players who are daydreaming about how they’ll spend the $1.28 billion (£1.05 billion) Mega Millions prize.

On Friday, the third-largest lottery reward in the country was drawn.

After 29 draws in a row without a winner, it increased to such an enormous amount.

In the drawing held on Friday night, the winning numbers were 13, 36, 45, 57, and 67, with a Mega Ball of 14.

The lottery jackpot is the largest award in over four years.

The winner can choose to receive the $1.28 billion reward in the form of an annuity, which is paid out in 30 yearly installments, or in cash, which would cost about $747.2 million (£613.3 million). A large majority of jackpot winners opt for the cash option.

Those who choose to accept the whole reward will ultimately have enough money to purchase the largest boat in the world twice. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, is the owner of the 590-foot megayacht.

One in 302.5 million people have a chance of winning the jackpot.

Lottery officials anticipate that if no one wins the jackpot on Friday night, the value will increase to an estimated $1.7 billion (£1.4 billion) for the next draw on Tuesday, making it the biggest lottery prize in the country.

The £195 million jackpot for the UK’s National Lottery was won in May of this year.

The previous biggest jackpot in Europe was the €220 million (£185 million) Euromillions jackpot won in France in October 2021.
