England’s Manchester City Club is launching a smart scarf application to measure the physiological and emotional reactions of fans during matches.
In collaboration with technology partner Cisco, Manchester City Club has launched a scarf to monitor the physiological and emotional effects of football matches on fans.
Thanks to the EmotiBit biosensor placed on the neck of the scarf, instant data such as heart rate, body temperature and emotional state of the fans will be obtained.
The data will be collected in different situations, such as missed penalties and last-minute goals, allowing the club to offer personalized experiences for fans in the future.
The smart scarves will be available to a limited number of Manchester City fans in the 2022-23 season.
